Inner Range

Multiple paths provide redundancy for alarm transmission. Without polling the transmission path, the central station won’t know when a path is unavailable, and any alarms sent by the alarm panel may not get through to the central station.

Why only poll the primary alarm transmission path?
MultipathIP polls each of the selected IP paths when necessary to dramatically increase the confidence of an alarm or event being sent to the central station.

Polling ensures:

  • Integrity of the alarm panel and MultipathIP STU:
Every 90 seconds you know that the alarm panel and Multipath-IP STU are still alive and communicating with the central station
  • Integrity of the selected communication path:
Every 90 seconds you know that the selected communications path is active and may be used at that time to send alarms to the central station

90 Second Polling provides peace of mind to end customers…
… because their alarm system is being regularly monitored ensuring that alarms and events can be sent via the selected communications path

Why settle for a polled monitoring solution …
… that is only available most of the time?
… and that hopes to send alarms and events via the phone line or via GSM when its only polled path is unavailable?
