The Key Programmer and Flash PC Interface is a portable RS232 interface housed in a convenient "D" connector shell housing. The Interface connects to the DB9 Serial Port on a PC or laptop computer. Two connection cables are shipped with the Interface.

The first allows connection to the "FLASH" connector on the Concept IQ Control Module to carry out in-field updating of the firmware.

The second allows connection to a Concept IQ Programming Key (purchased separately). In this manner, a PC or laptop may be used to upload a Concept IQ database to the key for easy storage and transportation to site, or download a saved database from the key for convenient editing or storage on the PC or laptop.

The Interface has three indicator lamps. The "Pwr" lamp indicates that the device is powered up. "Tx" and "Rx" lamps monitor data transfer activity.
